About this Site
This site is owned and operated by the National Dialogue Secretariat on behalf of all citizens of South Sudan. Like the National Dialogue itself, this site completely independent of the government of South Sudan, with funding coming primarily from Japan, via the UNDP. This site was created in 2017 for the purpose of promoting and facilitating the National Dialogue online and offline in South Sudan and around the world. As such it features ample information about the structure of the National Dialogue, a document library, news and updates, an events calendar, and a forum for airing opinion, including the ability for citizens to contribute their own.
Website Governance and Editorial Policy
The website is managed and edited according to National Dialogue principles of inclusivity and transparency and in conjunction with the Community Guidelines, which govern content moderation.
The website’s current editor-in-chief is Mr Alfred Taban. Other members of the National Dialogue’s Secretariat, along with anyone it authorizes, may contribute or solicit information. In fact, all citizens of South Sudan at home and abroad are invited to submit guest opinion blogs using the Share Your Opinion form or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Social Media Governance and Editorial Policy
South Sudan National Dialogue operates a Facebook page, a Twitter account, a Google Plus profile, and a YouTube account. The governance and editorial policies of social media channels are the same as for the website.
