Three Committees Will Soon Leave to Regions, to Begin the Process of Dialogue

The leadership of the Steering Committee for the National Dialogue under the chairmanship of the Alternate co-chair of the Committee, Angelo Beda, held on Monday 18 September a joint meeting with the governors of the three Regions that is Central Equatoria, Northern Bahr El Ghazal, and Upper Nile. The seven governors were headed by Augustine Gadallah Wani, Major General Rizq Zakaria Hassan, David Luckounga, and Simon Deng Mangbong along with representatives of the governor of the Aweil east state.

The meeting discussed how to receive the three committees and recommendations on the security situation and how to organize the dialogue process in the three regions, which will take about three to four weeks. The governors of the three states of the region also welcomed the committees that will visit the states and their provinces to conduct consultations with all components of societies in order to reach solutions to all the problems facing those states.The meeting highlighted the situation in each state in the three regions, where the meeting showed that the state of the Yai River is more insecure in a number of provinces, followed by the state of Jubik and some in the Upper Nile. The states of North Bahr el Ghazal face development and social problems but not political problems.
